This is a genuine Ford injection control pressure, or ICP, sensor for early-build 6.0L Power Stroke diesel Super Duty trucks and the Excursion, the under-turbo location used on engines in the early serial range built across the 2003 to 2004 period. The ICP sensor reports high-pressure oil to the powertrain control module, which the module uses to manage injection; a failing sensor causes hard starting, surging, low power, or a no-start, often with oil intrusion in the connector. Confirm the early under-turbo build before ordering, since later engines relocate the sensor and use a different part. Built to Ford specifications for output, connector fit and sealing, this OEM sensor provides an accurate signal. Fitting the correct sensor restores dependable starting and power. Inspect the connector for oil, renew the sensor O-ring, seat the sensor squarely, torque to spec, and clear codes afterward.
