  This genuine Ford injection pressure regulator, base number 9C968, controls high-pressure oil in the fuel injection system of 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engines, fitting E-Series vans and Super Duty trucks and Excursion of this era. Commonly called the IPR valve, it meters high-pressure oil to the injectors, and the engine controller varies it to set injection control pressure across the operating range so the injectors fire correctly under all conditions.
