  This is the genuine Ford crankshaft main bearing cap bolt, in the 14 by 127.5mm size, for the 6.0L and 6.4L Power Stroke turbo diesel. The main cap bolts clamp the main bearing caps to the engine block, holding the crankshaft in its bearings and carrying the loads of the rotating assembly. It fits 2003 to 2010 E-350, F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty and the Excursion, with the 6.0L diesel through 2007 and the 6.4L from 2008. This is a torque-to-yield, single-use fastener that is stretched into its yield range to develop the correct clamp load, and it must never be reused. Always install new main cap bolts whenever the main caps are removed, such as during a rebuild, crankshaft service or bearing replacement; a reused yielded bolt cannot be trusted to hold the proper clamp load and can lead to main bearing or block failure. Installing new genuine bolts ensures the correct, consistent clamp load on the main caps.
