This is a genuine Ford O-ring that seals an oil pressure switch or engine sensor port on the 6.0L Power Stroke diesel in Super Duty trucks. The seal keeps pressurized oil contained where the switch or sensor threads into its boss. It is a single-use sealing item and should be renewed whenever the sensor or switch is removed, since a reused ring takes a set and will weep oil. Built to Ford material and dimensional specifications, it resists hot engine oil and matches the factory groove so it seats fully. This application commonly uses these seals at more than one port, so confirm how many you need for the job. Fitting the correct seal restores a clean, sealed sensor port. Lubricate the O-ring lightly on assembly, thread the sensor in by hand to avoid cross-threading, torque to specification, and check for leaks after the engine is run.
