  This is the genuine Ford right-hand (passenger side) windshield washer nozzle, or jet, for the 2003 to 2011 Ranger. The nozzle mounts on the cowl or hood and sprays washer fluid onto the windshield, aimed to cover the wiper sweep area for clear visibility. It is replaced when the spray pattern has become weak, misaimed or split, when the nozzle is clogged with debris or mineral deposits, when it has been broken off, or when it leaks. A nozzle that does not spray properly leaves the windshield streaked and reduces visibility in rain, road spray and winter conditions, which is a safety concern. Installing a new genuine nozzle restores a correct, well-aimed spray pattern across the glass. Replacement is straightforward: from under the hood or cowl, disconnect the washer hose from the old nozzle, release its retaining tabs, fit the new nozzle into the opening until it clicks, reconnect the hose, and test and aim the spray.
