The lash adjuster takes up valvetrain clearance automatically to keep the valves operating quietly and correctly; worn or noisy adjusters cause a tapping or ticking and can affect running. Built to Ford specifications for dimensions and internal valving, this OEM adjuster matches the factory calibration and bore fit. The engine uses several adjusters, so confirm the quantity needed for the job. Fitting the correct adjusters restores quiet, proper valvetrain operation.
