• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford radiator coolant hose for 04-07 Ford vehicles. The hose carries engine coolant between the radiator and the engine cooling jacket, or between the radiator and the thermostat housing depending on installation location. Common failure modes include cracking from age and heat exposure, swelling and softness in the hose wall indicating internal degradation, leakage at the clamped ends due to wall thinning, and damage from contact with engine accessories or chafing. Symptoms include coolant loss, visible coolant puddle under the vehicle, low coolant warning, engine overheating in stop-and-go traffic, steam from the engine bay, and milky residue in the overflow tank. Replacement requires draining the cooling system, removing the spring or worm clamps at each end of the hose, removing the old hose, and installing the new hose with new clamps. Refill with the specified Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant pre-mixed with distilled water, bleed the system, and verify thermostat operation by watching the coolant temperature gauge.
