• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford front, or timing, cover gasket for the left position on 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L modular gasoline engines, including 1999 to 2007 Super Duty trucks and the new-body F-150 and Mark LT. It is one position of the multi-piece front cover gasket set and seals the timing cover to the engine, keeping oil contained at the front of the engine where the timing components live. The gasket is a renew-on-service item and should be replaced whenever the front cover is removed, since the original takes a set and will not reseal reliably. Built to Ford material specifications, it matches the factory sealing surface and bolt pattern for the left position so it seats correctly when torqued in sequence. Fitting the correct gasket restores a sealed front cover. Clean both surfaces fully, confirm correct orientation, follow the factory torque sequence, and check for leaks after warm-up.
