• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford ignition coil, the coil-on-plug type, for gasoline modular engines including the 5.4L and 6.8L in 1999 to 2007 Super Duty trucks, the new-body F-150 across the 2004 to 2008 range, and the Mark LT; it corresponds to the Motorcraft DG511. One coil sits on each cylinder and fires its spark plug directly, so a weak or failing coil causes a misfire, rough idle, hesitation, or a check-engine light on that cylinder. Built to Ford specifications for output, insulation and connector fit, this OEM coil delivers a strong, consistent spark. Fitting the correct coil restores smooth running. Because each cylinder uses its own coil, confirm how many you need for the job. Remove the coil hold-down, disconnect the connector, withdraw the coil and its boot, fit the new coil with a fresh boot if needed, reconnect, and clear any misfire codes after the repair.
