  This Genuine Ford exhaust manifold is the driver-side (left-hand) cast manifold for the 5.4L modular V8, collecting exhaust gas from the left cylinder bank and routing it into the exhaust system. It fits the 2004-2008 F-150 new-body-style, 2007-2014 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, and Lincoln Mark LT with the 5.4L engine. Ford catalogs it as the exhaust manifold, driver's side. The original manifold and its studs endure extreme heat cycling, and over time the casting can crack, the sealing flange can warp, or the mounting studs can seize and shear, producing a persistent exhaust tick or ticking that is loudest on a cold start, an exhaust smell, reduced power, and failed emissions or noise inspection. A leaking manifold also lets unmetered air reach the oxygen sensors and can set lean or misfire-related trouble codes.
