This is the genuine Ford Motorcraft cruise control switch, catalog part number SW-6398, the steering wheel mounted speed control switch that lets the driver set, resume, accelerate, coast and cancel the cruise control. Its momentary contacts send the driver's commands to the vehicle speed control module to maintain and adjust a set speed. It fits 2005 through 2009 Ford Mustang applications, integrating into the steering wheel switch pod. Drivers replace this switch when one or more cruise functions stop responding, when the set or resume button is intermittent, when cruise cannot be engaged or canceled from the wheel, or when the buttons feel mushy or stuck from wear.
