• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford windshield wiper linkage, also called the wiper transmission or pivot assembly, for the 2005-2009 Mustang. It bolts under the cowl and converts the rotating output of the wiper motor into the back-and-forth sweeping motion of the wiper arms, tying the two pivots together so both blades move in time across the windshield. Owners look for this part when the wipers stop moving while the motor still runs, when one blade quits or lags behind the other, when the arms move erratically or park in the wrong spot, or when a clicking, knocking, or grinding noise comes from the cowl area. These symptoms usually point to worn pivot bushings or a separated linkage ball joint. As a factory OEM assembly it restores the correct geometry and mounting so the wipers sweep the full pattern again. Work with the cowl panel removed for access, transfer the wiper motor if it is not included, and index the arms to the correct park position on reassembly so they seat properly against the windshield.
