  This is a genuine Ford driver-side (left-hand) exhaust manifold for 2005 through 2010 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 5.4L Triton V8 gas engine, carrying Ford catalog designation Manifold Assy - Exhaust. The exhaust manifold bolts to the cylinder head and collects spent combustion gases from the driver-side bank, routing them into the exhaust down-pipe. Cast iron manifolds on these trucks endure extreme heating and cooling cycles, and over time they commonly develop cracks, warping at the sealing flanges, or broken and seized manifold studs. Symptoms that lead an owner to this part include a persistent exhaust tick that grows louder when cold, an exhaust leak smell, a hissing or puffing noise from the engine bay, reduced fuel economy, and a check engine light tied to upstream oxygen sensor readings.
