• Description:

  This genuine Ford upper weather-strip seals the driver-side roof rail and upper door opening on the 2005-2014 Mustang (S197), covering Base, GT, Boss 302 and Shelby GT500 coupe and convertible models. Fitted along the left-hand door opening flange, the molded rubber strip presses against the top of the door glass and frame to lock out wind noise, rain and road spray. With age, heat and repeated door cycles the rubber hardens, cracks, shrinks or works free of its retaining channel, and owners typically hear whistling at highway speed, find water on the seat or door trim, and feel drafts around the top of the door. Installing a fresh seal restores a quiet, weather-tight door opening. Ford catalogs this as Upper Weather-Strip, also described as a roof-rail weatherstrip, for the driver left-hand side; the passenger side uses its own mirror-image part.
