This genuine Ford upper weather-strip seals the passenger-side roof rail and upper door opening on the 2005-2014 Mustang (S197), covering Base, GT, Boss 302 and Shelby GT500 coupe and convertible models. Mounted along the right-hand door opening flange, the molded rubber strip presses against the top of the door glass and frame to keep wind noise, rain and road spray out of the cabin. Over years of sun exposure and repeated door cycles the rubber hardens, cracks, shrinks or pulls loose from its retaining channel, which owners notice as whistling at highway speed, water leaking onto the seat or trim, and drafts around the upper door. Replacing the aged seal restores a quiet, weather-tight door opening.
