• Description:

  This genuine Motorcraft track bar ball joint is the pivoting connection at the end of the front track bar, the lateral link that locates the solid front axle and keeps it centered under the frame on these heavy-duty trucks. The joint allows the track bar to articulate as the suspension moves while holding the axle laterally, which is what keeps the truck tracking straight and the steering responsive. It fits Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks across roughly the 2005-2019 range with the solid front axle. A worn track bar ball joint typically produces a wandering or darting feel on the highway, a shimmy or death-wobble under braking or over bumps, clunking from the front end, and uneven or erratic steering that does not return to center cleanly.
