This genuine Ford Motorcraft wheel bearing and hub assembly is a sealed pre-greased unit that supports the vehicle weight, allows the wheel to spin freely, and houses the wheel speed sensor tone ring for the ABS system. It fits 2006 through 2012 all-wheel-drive Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln MKZ and Zephyr, including the Fusion, Milan, and MKZ Hybrid models, and serves both front and rear positions on these AWD applications. A worn hub bearing is a common wear item that typically announces itself with a cyclic humming, growling, or grinding noise that rises with vehicle speed and changes tone during cornering, along with possible wheel play, vibration, uneven tire wear, or an ABS warning light. Because the bearing is integrated into the hub, the complete assembly is replaced as a unit rather than repacking loose bearings, which restores quiet safe operation and correct wheel speed sensor output. This Motorcraft assembly is built to Ford fit, load, and sealing specifications for a direct replacement. The axle hub retaining nut is a single-use torque-to-yield fastener and must be replaced with a new nut and torqued to specification on installation; do not reuse the original nut.
