• Description:

  This genuine Ford gasket seals the engine coolant thermostat housing and water outlet on a range of Ford four-cylinder and V6 engines, including the 2.0L, 2.3L, and 3.0L applications found in the Fusion, Milan, Focus, Edge, Explorer, Mustang, Ranger, Lincoln MKZ, and MKC. It provides the coolant-tight seal between the thermostat housing or water outlet and the engine, preventing the coolant weeping and overheating that can result when the original gasket hardens or cracks. As original equipment it matches the factory sealing profile and material, so it seats correctly without additional sealant and resists the heat cycling of the cooling system. Whenever the thermostat is replaced or the housing is removed, fitting a new gasket is the surest way to avoid a repeat coolant leak.
