  This genuine Ford inlet hose routes engine coolant to the thermostat housing on the 3.5L and 3.7L DOHC V6, carrying flow between the cooling circuit and the thermostat so the engine warms quickly and then holds a stable operating temperature. Molded to the exact contours of the engine bay with integrated connections, it maintains proper coolant delivery under heat and pressure. As the hose ages the rubber hardens, swells or develops cracks and weeping at the connectors, and drivers see coolant spots under the vehicle, a low coolant level, sweet-smelling steam, a rising temperature gauge, or overheating and heater performance loss. A failed hose can lead to rapid coolant loss and engine damage if ignored.
