• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford side marker lamp for the 2007-2010 Lincoln MKX, cataloged as a side marker light and listed in the dealer catalog for the left, driver-side front position with the marker, cornering and side light function. It mounts in the front bumper fascia and lights the amber lens that makes the corner of the vehicle visible from the side at night and to cross traffic, which is a required lighting function. Owners replace it when the lens cracks or yellows, when the housing fills with condensation and the bulb socket corrodes, when a parking scrape or minor bumper hit breaks the mounting tabs, or when the lamp simply stops lighting because the socket contacts have oxidized. A dead or missing side marker is a common inspection failure. Note that this part is the left-hand unit, consistent with the odd base number convention; the passenger-side lamp carries a different number, so confirm the side before ordering. The lamp is retained in the fascia opening from behind, so it is usually easiest to reach with the wheel turned and the front of the inner fender liner pulled back.
