This genuine Motorcraft Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor is the in-wheel unit that reads the air pressure in each tire and sends the value by radio frequency to the body control module, which lights the low-tire warning when pressure falls out of range. It is cataloged for Ford applications spanning roughly 2007 through 2014, with common fitment on the Edge and Focus among other Ford and Lincoln lines of that era. Drivers who need this sensor are usually chasing a TPMS warning light that will not clear, a telltale that flashes for about a minute at every start, or a wheel that reads no pressure at all, symptoms that point to a depleted internal sensor battery once the sensor is several years old. One sensor mounts at each wheel.
