This genuine Motorcraft PCV valve hose is the positive crankcase ventilation connecting hose for 2007-2014 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles powered by the 5.4L 3-valve Triton V8, including the Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, the F-150, and E-Series vans, cataloged as Motorcraft KCV-218. As part of the PCV system, the hose routes crankcase blow-by vapor from the valve cover and PCV valve back into the intake so the vapor is burned in the engine rather than vented, maintaining proper crankcase pressure and protecting seals and gaskets. A buyer typically needs this hose when it hardens, cracks, splits at the ends, or collapses with age and heat, producing symptoms such as a rough or unstable idle, a whistling or hissing vacuum leak, elevated oil consumption, oil weeping past valve cover or seal areas, an oil-fouled intake, or a check-engine light for a lean condition or PCV flow fault.
