This is a genuine Ford multi-function switch, the steering-column stalk serviced by Motorcraft as SW-7415 and cataloged by Ford as a Direction Indicator switch assembly, used on Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator from about 2007 through 2014 as well as the Ford Flex. This single lever combines several driver controls, operating the turn signals, headlamp high-beam and flash-to-pass function, and the front and rear windshield wiper and washer functions on these vehicles. Because it handles so many circuits it is a frequent failure point, and symptoms include turn signals that will not cancel or work on only one side, high beams that will not activate, wipers or washers that stop responding or run on their own, or intermittent operation as the stalk is moved. As the original equipment part it matches the factory connector and column mounting, so it installs as a direct replacement without adapters or rewiring.
