  This is a genuine Ford OEM engine camshaft follower, also cataloged by Ford as a valve tappet, for the 3.3L, 3.5L and 3.7L Cyclone V6 engine family. The follower rides between the camshaft lobe and the valvetrain, transferring cam lift to open and close the valves while maintaining proper valve lash for quiet, precise operation.
