  This is the genuine Ford door glass retainer, also cataloged by Ford as a door glass attaching clip, for the 2008-2012 Escape and Mercury Mariner. This small but critical clip fastens the bottom edge of the door window glass to the window regulator sash channel, holding the glass securely so it rides up and down smoothly as the regulator raises and lowers the window. When this retainer fails the glass loses its grip on the regulator and can drop into the door, tilt in its channel, or refuse to move with the motor.
