• Description:

  This Genuine Ford radius arm is the driver side left hand suspension link that locates the front solid axle to the frame on four wheel drive Super Duty trucks, controlling fore and aft axle movement and caster angle while resisting braking and acceleration loads. One end bolts to the front axle and the other pivots at a frame bracket through a large bushing that isolates road shock from the chassis. It fits 2008-2016 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 and F-550 Super Duty models equipped with the four wheel drive front axle. Symptoms that a radius arm or its bushing has failed include a clunk or shudder felt through the floor over bumps and during braking, wandering or vague steering, uneven or accelerated front tire wear, and a caster change that pulls the truck to one side. A cracked arm or a collapsed and oil weeping bushing lets the axle shift under load and should be replaced to restore correct front end geometry and ride stability. This is the original equipment Ford component matched to the factory bushing durometer and mounting geometry for these trucks, and the opposite passenger side right hand unit is a separate part number. Perform a front wheel alignment after installation and torque the axle and frame fasteners to Ford specification; torque-to-yield mounting hardware, where used, should be renewed rather than reused to hold clamp load.
