• Description:

  This Genuine Ford radius arm is the passenger side right hand suspension link that locates the front solid axle to the frame on four wheel drive Super Duty trucks, managing fore and aft axle position and caster angle while absorbing the forces of braking and acceleration. One end fastens to the front axle and the other pivots at a frame mounted bracket through a large bushing that cushions road impacts. It fits 2008-2016 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 and F-550 Super Duty models built with the four wheel drive front axle. Warning signs that a radius arm or its bushing is worn include a clunk or shudder through the floor over bumps and under braking, loose or wandering steering, uneven or rapid front tire wear, and a pull to one side caused by a caster change. A cracked arm or a torn and oil soaked bushing allows the axle to move under load and should be replaced to restore proper front end alignment and a stable ride. This is the original equipment Ford component built to the factory bushing durometer and mounting dimensions for these trucks, and the opposite driver side left hand arm is a separate part number. Complete a front wheel alignment after installation and torque the axle and frame fasteners to Ford specification; torque-to-yield mounting hardware, where used, should be replaced rather than reused so it holds the correct clamp load.
