  This is a genuine Ford lower radiator hose, Ford catalog name Hose - Radiator, part number 9L3Z-8286-C. It is the pre-formed, molded EPDM rubber coolant hose that carries engine coolant on the lower side of the cooling circuit between the radiator and the engine, routing flow so the water pump can return cooled coolant to the block. This lower hose fits the 5.4L V8 in the 2009 through 2014 Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition, and the 2009 through 2010 F-150 with the 4.6L and 5.4L V8. The molded shape is engineered to clear the accessory drive, fan, and frame without kinking or chafing, which a universal straight hose cannot reliably do. A buyer replacing this hose is typically dealing with a coolant leak at the hose or its clamp, visible cracking, swelling, or soft spongy sections in the rubber, a sweet coolant smell, low coolant level, or overheating.
