  This genuine Ford rear shock absorber is the hydraulic damper for the rear suspension of the 2009-2014 F-150. Bolted between the frame and the rear axle, it controls spring oscillation so the truck settles quickly after bumps instead of continuing to bounce, keeping the tires in contact with the road for stable handling, braking, and ride comfort.
