This is the genuine Ford cruise control switch, Ford catalog name Switch Assembly Control, Motorcraft SW-6749, superseding AC2Z-9C888-BA, used on the E-Series full-size vans, primarily the 2010-2017 E-350 Super Duty along with the related E-150 and E-250 Econoline models. Mounted on the steering wheel, this speed control switch lets the driver set, resume, accelerate, coast and cancel cruise control through the momentary contact buttons wired into the speed control module. When it fails, cruise control will not engage or hold a set speed, buttons feel dead or intermittent, the set speed drops out on its own, or the cruise indicator fails to illuminate, symptoms that usually trace to worn button contacts rather than the module itself.
