• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford turbocharger boost pressure sensor, the manifold-absolute-pressure style sensor that Ford lists under the Sensor Assembly designation for 2010-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles with the 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6, including the F-150, Taurus SHO, Flex, Explorer Sport, and Lincoln MKS and MKT. Mounted in the charge-air outlet tube downstream of the turbochargers, the sensor measures the pressure and temperature of the pressurized intake charge and reports it to the powertrain control module, which uses the signal to regulate wastegate position, boost, and fuel and spark delivery. A drifting or failed sensor commonly triggers boost-pressure diagnostic trouble codes such as P0234, P0236, P0237 or P0238, a lit check-engine light, reduced power or limp mode, hesitation under acceleration, and poor fuel economy. Oil contamination from crankcase vapor or a damaged connector can also degrade the signal. This OEM sensor matches the factory calibration and connector so the module reads boost accurately, avoiding the drivability faults that off-brand sensors can introduce. Confirm the sensor's mounting location on your charge-air tube, and handle the sensing element carefully during installation.
