• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford engine support rod bracket, the stamped mounting bracket that ties the engine and transaxle assembly to its roll-restrictor or torque-strut mount on 2010-2019 Ford Taurus, Flex, Edge and Explorer models with the 3.5L V6. The bracket anchors the mount that controls fore-and-aft engine rock under acceleration and braking, keeping the powertrain located and isolating driveline torque from the body structure. When the bracket or its associated mount deteriorates, drivers notice a clunk or thud on gear engagement and throttle tip-in, increased vibration through the floor and steering wheel, and in severe cases the sensation of the engine shifting under load. Cracked brackets often follow a collapsed rubber mount that has allowed excess movement.
