• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford front crankshaft oil seal used across later Bronco, F-150, Ranger, and related Lincoln applications. The seal fits at the front of the engine where the crankshaft passes through the front cover, with its lip riding against the crankshaft or damper hub to keep pressurized engine oil sealed inside while the shaft rotates. It is built with a precise sealing lip and oil-resistant elastomer to handle continuous high-speed rotation, heat, and constant exposure to engine oil. Owners replace this seal when oil leaks appear at the front of the engine, when oil is seen weeping from behind the crankshaft pulley or damper, or whenever the front cover, timing drive, or balancer is serviced and the seal must be renewed.
