This Genuine Ford Motorcraft heater water hose is the inlet hose that supplies engine coolant to the cab heater core on 2011 through 2014 F-150 trucks with the 5.0L V8. Molded from heat and pressure resistant EPDM rubber to the factory-correct shape with the proper connector ends, it feeds hot coolant into the heater core so the climate system can produce cabin heat and windshield defrost. As it ages the rubber stiffens and can crack, chafe, or weep at the fittings, and a buyer searching for this part is usually chasing a coolant leak, a low coolant level, a sweet coolant smell, steam from the vents, or little to no heat. Installing the exact molded Motorcraft inlet hose restores correct routing and a secure, leak-free seal that a universal hose cannot reliably provide.
