  The Motorcraft KM-5228 is the upper radiator coolant hose assembly for the 2011-2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty powered by the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel V8. On these trucks the upper hose delivers hot coolant from the engine to the top of the primary radiator as part of the high-capacity cooling system that keeps the turbocharged diesel within temperature under heavy towing and hauling loads. Diesel cooling hoses run hot and hold considerable pressure, so the factory rubber eventually hardens, cracks at the bends, or softens and balloons near the clamp lands, especially on trucks that see sustained work cycles.
