  This genuine Ford A/C refrigerant suction hose is the low pressure return line of the air conditioning circuit, carrying cool low pressure refrigerant vapor back from the evaporator outlet to the inlet of the compressor. The Ford catalog name is Tube Assy, with the alternate catalog names Return Line Assembly and Suction Line, and the manufacturer note confirms the routing as Air Conditioning Evaporator To Compressor. It supersedes BC3Z-19867-B and the earlier YF-3649 service number. Verified fitment is the 2011 through 2016 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty with the 6.2L V8 or the 6.8L V10 gasoline engines. The line is a combination of formed aluminum tube and flexible barrier hose with crimped fittings and sealing surfaces at both ends, and it fails by rubbing through where it passes a bracket, by corroding at the crimp collars, or by losing its O-ring seals so the system slowly bleeds down.
