  This genuine Ford Motorcraft engine water pump is the naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 cooling pump used on 2011-2016 Taurus and related 3.5L V6 Ford models, covering early-build applications produced up to the 01/02/2012 change point. The belt-driven pump circulates coolant from the radiator through the engine block and cylinder heads to hold operating temperature in check, and it ships as a complete assembly with the required sealing gaskets. Owners typically shop for this pump after noticing coolant seepage or dripping from the pump weep hole, a bearing whine or growl from the front of the engine, a sweet-smelling coolant odor, recurring low-coolant messages, or temperature climbing during idle and stop-and-go driving. A pump with a worn bearing or a weeping shaft seal cannot be resealed reliably and should be replaced as a unit. Install the supplied gaskets clean and dry unless Ford specifies otherwise, tighten the fasteners to specification in the correct sequence, refill with the correct Ford specification coolant, and bleed all air from the cooling system to prevent a false overheat.
