  This genuine Ford clutch pressure plate and disc assembly is the friction coupling for manual-transmission 5.0L Mustang GT models, cataloged for 2011-2017 Mustang GT with the 5.0L Coyote V8 and manual gearbox without the Boss 302 package. The pressure plate clamps the clutch disc against the flywheel to transmit engine torque to the transmission input shaft, and releasing it through the release bearing disengages the drivetrain for shifting and stopping. This service part includes the matched clutch disc so both wear surfaces are replaced together. A worn or failing clutch typically slips under load, produces a burning smell, chatters or shudders on engagement, becomes difficult to shift, or refuses to fully release, often with a high or grabby pedal.
