• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford Motorcraft lower engine coolant thermostat gasket for the 6.7L Power Stroke turbo diesel V8, catalogued by Ford as the Engine Coolant Thermostat Gasket and cross-referenced to base 8590. It seals the thermostat housing to the engine on 2011 through 2018 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks, maintaining a leak-free joint so the cooling system holds pressure and the thermostat can regulate operating temperature correctly. A hardened, cracked, or weeping gasket lets coolant seep from the thermostat housing, which shows up as green or orange residue around the housing, a sweet coolant smell, low reservoir level, overheating, or a temperature gauge that swings while the engine struggles to reach normal running heat.
