  This is a genuine Ford liftgate weatherstrip seal for the 2011-2019 Ford Explorer and Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility. Cataloged by Ford as a Hatch Seal, the molded rubber weatherstrip mounts around the rear liftgate opening and seals the gap between the closed liftgate and the body, keeping water, road spray, dust, and wind noise out of the cargo area. It also cushions the liftgate as it closes and helps the vehicle maintain a quiet, weathertight rear compartment.
