  This genuine Ford rear upper control arm mounts on the passenger side of the independent rear suspension, connecting the rear wheel knuckle to the body and subframe while locating the top of the knuckle to control camber and keep the wheel properly aligned through suspension travel. It fits 2011 through 2019 Ford Explorer and related platform vehicles and is the right hand side arm assembly. Worn or damaged upper arm bushings and the integral pivot cause clunking or knocking over bumps, rear end wander or a vague feeling under cornering, uneven or accelerated inner and outer tire wear, and camber readings that fall out of specification and cannot be corrected until the arm is replaced. Impact damage from potholes or curb strikes can also bend the arm and shift alignment. Installing the correct genuine Ford arm restores factory suspension geometry, ride quality, and tire wear.
