This is a genuine Ford support rod for 2011-2019 Ford F53 stripped motorhome and RV chassis built with the 6.8L V10 EFI engine. It installs at the front of the chassis within the front panels, aprons and side-member area and serves as a structural brace and support rod, and the same base part is used on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle. On these heavy motorhome chassis, front-end brace and support rods help locate and stabilize front structural and cooling-support components; a bent, cracked, corroded or missing rod can allow movement, rattles, or misalignment of the parts it supports.
