Genuine Ford EGR upper tube gasket for 11-23 F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke turbo diesel engine. This gasket seals the upper EGR tube at the connection between the tube and the EGR cooler or valve flange, and it is one of the most commonly disturbed gaskets during any EGR service on the 6.7L. It supersedes several earlier part numbers including CG-780 and BC3Z-9D476-D, which means it is the current Ford service replacement that covers both the early and late 6.7L applications. The gasket should be replaced whenever the EGR tube is disturbed for any reason since reusing an old gasket frequently produces a slow exhaust leak that triggers diagnostic codes once the engine is back together. The Ford-supplied gasket is dimensioned and material-matched to the original so it seals reliably under the temperature and pressure cycling at the EGR connection. Inexpensive insurance during any EGR repair on a 6.7L Super Duty.
