  This is the genuine Ford engine oil filter for the 6.7L Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8, the full-flow spin-on element that traps metal, carbon, and combustion contaminants before oil returns to the crankshaft, bearings, turbocharger, and high-pressure injection system. It fits F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L diesel across roughly the 2011 through 2025 model years and carries the Motorcraft FL-2124-S service designation. It supersedes earlier releases including BC3Z-6731-A, BC3Z-6731-B, and the FL-2051-S filter, so it is the current up-to-date filter for these applications. A clogged or neglected oil filter shows up as low oil pressure warnings, a lit oil light, noisy lifters or bearings, dark burnt-smelling oil, and in severe cases bypass-valve operation that sends unfiltered oil through the engine and accelerates wear. Ford specifies replacement at every scheduled oil change using the correct diesel-rated oil. Prime the new filter with clean oil where access allows, lubricate the sealing gasket, and hand-tighten to the marked position to avoid leaks. Installing a fresh Motorcraft-equivalent filter restores proper filtration and protects the injectors, turbo, and rotating assembly of the Power Stroke engine.
