  This is the genuine Motorcraft engine oil filter for the 6.7L Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8, part number FL-2124-SW, the current service designation for the filter used across the Ford Super Duty diesel line. It is a full-flow spin-on filter with a high-capacity media pack matched to the large oil volume and heavy contaminant load of the 6.7L Power Stroke, capturing soot, wear metals, and combustion byproducts to protect the bearings, turbocharger, and high-pressure injection components. The filter uses a silicone anti-drain-back valve that holds oil inside the housing during shutdown, so lubrication reaches the top end almost immediately on the next start, which matters for a diesel that idles and cold-starts frequently. This filter services the F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke, and the same base filter continues into the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty diesels. Owners renew it at every diesel oil service, and running a spent or bypassing filter can lead to delayed oil pressure, contaminated oil reaching critical components, and premature wear.
