This genuine Ford transmission mount insulator supports and cushions the rear of the transmission on the 2011 through 2025 Ford Mustang built with the 5.0L Coyote V8. Also cataloged by Ford as a transmission mount and crossmember insulator, the bonded rubber-and-steel assembly carries the weight of the gearbox tailshaft, holds the driveline at its designed height, and absorbs engine torque reaction and road vibration so it is not transmitted into the body. When the rubber cracks, softens, or delaminates, the transmission is allowed to shift under load, producing a clunk on gear engagement and throttle transitions, a vibration or drone felt through the floor and shifter, and in severe cases contact noise from driveline movement. Installing a fresh insulator restores correct drivetrain position and eliminates the harshness. This is the 5.0L V8 application; verify your engine before ordering. Torque the through-bolts to Ford specification and inspect the engine mounts at the same time for a balanced, vibration-free result.
