This rocker arm pivot assembly is a genuine Ford valvetrain component for the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel, transferring camshaft and pushrod motion to open and close the valves on the driver side cylinder bank. Verified for 11-25 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke and serving the left bank, it supersedes the earlier BC3Z-6A585-B, FC3Z-6A585-B, FC3Z-6A585-D, and LC3Z-6A585-F numbers and is serviced by Ford as a complete bank assembly with several pivots per side. A sound rocker assembly maintains correct valve actuation and quiet, accurate valvetrain operation. Owners replace this part when excessive side-to-side play, a well-documented wear pattern on this platform, produces ticking or knocking from the valvetrain, when a pivot is damaged, or during top-end service. Worn rockers can cause noise, erratic valve action, and, if neglected, further valvetrain damage. Because it serves one bank, the driver-side and passenger-side units are not interchangeable.
