  This is a brand new genuine Ford OEM upper thermostat housing and water outlet carrying part number LC3Z-8592-B, fitting 11-26 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel. The housing sits on top of the cylinder head bridge and directs coolant from the engine into the upper radiator hose, the heater core supply line, and the degas bottle return. This part is a service-level consolidation that supersedes the earlier BC3Z-8592-A and the Motorcraft RH-196, so even early-production 6.7L PSD trucks should order this current number for service. The housing is molded high-temperature plastic with integrated bosses for the upper hose, ECT sensor, and degas connection. Replacement is required when the housing cracks, the ECT sensor port leaks, or the upper hose fitting suffers stress fracturing. The internal thermostat is a separate service item; this part is the housing only unless an updated version ships with thermostat included. Always install with new gasket or O-ring and torque bolts in the factory pattern to specification. Refill with Motorcraft gold-spec coolant and bleed using the factory procedure.
