  This is a genuine Ford rear disc brake rotor for 2012-2014 F-150 trucks equipped with the Heavy Duty Payload Package, the upgraded braking hardware fitted to max-payload configurations. The vented cast-iron rotor provides the friction surface the rear brake pads clamp against, converting motion into heat during every stop; the HD Payload rotor is dimensioned specifically for the higher gross-weight rating of these trucks and is not interchangeable with standard-payload F-150 rear rotors. The casting is symmetric and serves both the left and right rear positions. Replace the rotor when you feel pedal pulsation or steering-wheel shimmy under braking, hear grinding or scraping, see deep scoring or a heat-blued surface, or measure thickness below the minimum stamped on the hat.
