• Description:

  This genuine Ford Motorcraft engine water pump fits the 2.0L EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder used across 2012-2018 Escape, Fusion, Focus, and Explorer models. The belt-driven pump circulates coolant through the block, cylinder head, and radiator to maintain operating temperature on this boosted engine. It is supplied as a complete assembly and includes the water pump gasket. Owners commonly shop for this part after finding coolant weeping or dripping from the pump weep hole, hearing a bearing whine or growl from the front of the engine, smelling coolant, seeing residue on the front cover, or getting repeated low-coolant and overheating warnings. A pump with bearing wear or a leaking shaft seal cannot be serviced and must be replaced as a unit. Fit the included gasket clean and dry unless Ford specifies sealant, torque the fasteners in the correct sequence, refill with the correct Ford specification coolant, and bleed the system fully to prevent an air pocket that can cause a false overheat. Inspect the drive belt, tensioner, and thermostat at the same time. Confirm the 2.0L EcoBoost application by VIN before installing, as adjacent engines use different pumps.
